Surprise!!! Really? Today, NO, we are not going to Vegas....Are WE??????

What a treat it was for the little boys and big boys! Once we knew the UofA was going to the Las Vegas Bowl the Dads began the planning. It was Ed, John and Bil plus all the older boys....Collier, William, Wesley and Mason. They got the tickets, reserved a hotel room and decide to use the Cook Van to get them there. An extra surprise was that the same exact weekend the UofA Basketball team was playing in a tournament there too. So tickets were arranged for that too.

With all the planning the kids had no idea they were going. Mason kept talking about watching it on TV and inviting friends over. As you can see from the video they were Surprised! Even on the road, Wesley and William really didn't believe they were going all the way to Las Vegas until about half the day in the van. The drive even provided for a snowball fight, yes, we had winter weather the dropped snow in Northern Arizona and even Las Vegas.

Another trip to Rocky Point

Another fun trip to the beach! The weather was perfect and the water was warm. Mason and Summer loved playing with their friends on shore and in the water. Night hunts were eventful and the food was delicious.

Special Grandmother

A very special person in our life, what priceless memories we create. The kids and I are always delighted to show up at mom's house and find grandma doing one of her many pleasures....reading the newspaper, working a crossword puzzles, pondering over the latest board puzzle or simple enjoying the beautiful day outside listening to the birds. Grandma is always tickled to see us, Mason will give her an update on his football games and Summer will delightfully demonstrate her latest gymnastic skill. When she is up to it, we might take her for a drive or to get a bite to eat. Our newest adventure has become a trip through In-n-Outs drive -thru. We each get a cheeseburger, Grandma's with not onion, we share fries. Grandma gets an ice tea and the kids get a shake. We enjoy our food in the car while we are amazed at how many cars line up in the drive-thru and how quickly they get done.
