Kellogg Gymnastics Tour Of Champions

So excited for Summer. Tonight she was invited to go with Monse Monteverde and her family to see the Olympic gymnast perform since returning from London last month. We kept it a secret from Summer, as you can imagine she was over the moon this week when she learned she was going too. Then to top it off, I entered a drawing today for back stage passes to participate in the meet and greet....yes, Bil's good luck is wearing off on others in the family, I was one of 15 selected. Well, this created pure elation! Ana was as excited as the girls. I haven't heard all the exciting details yet, but I do know, they got to meet all of them and loved every minute of the adventure! Can't wait to hear all the details tomorrow.

My Sweet Love

Today I'm grateful, grateful for so much....in this two-fold chapter of my life I have been enriched with so many blessings.  And although it is easy to get busy in the daily routines, I do not take for granted the fulfillment in my soul and heart. 

19 years ago tomorrow, I began the next journey of my life. The way God had it planned but having no idea how enriching it would be-full of laughter and love. 

Bil and I will celebrate 19 years of marriage tomorrow, March 20th, the first day of Spring, as we do every year.  Bil is a pure blessing in my life, he completes me.  Supports me in whatever endeavor I envision, and most important, when I can not see my purpose clearly he helps me realize it.

 Just like he did 11 years ago when Mason was just a baby.   That gift we were given 11 years ago we still cherish to this day, being the parents God wanted us to be by making sacrifices to raise Mason and Summer.  These last 11 years have been such joy.  We really didn't know how much we would love being parents-to a son and a daughter.  A beautiful gift that we treasure daily.  Mason and Summer bring so much delight to our being and our relationship, they round us out and complete us.  I can't imagine life with out these three amazing beings that have become my purpose and reason for what I do daily.  Thank you God for trusting in me to love and and care for Bil and completing our family with Mason and Summer. 

Before having Mason and Summer...I look back at those years before, when it was just him and I.  What fun it was, long conversations about everything and nothing.  Movies, road trips, dinner with friends, cards, games, football games, basketball games, shopping, running errands.  Didn't matter what it was as long as we were together. 

Bil I love you for being you...committed, sensitive, loving, tender, sweet, dedicated, fun, silly but most important trusting in me, believing in me and picking me. 

I will love you always and forever Honey, Happy 19th Anniversary.

What a part of our lives Ceaser was.  Always willing to meet us at the door to welcome us home.  Right there every morning for a drink of water from the bathroom sink.  Enjoying story time in the evenings with Summer, he'd jump onto her bed and cuddle right us to us.  Most often knew when Mason was headed to the 'head' for long rest, Ceaser would rub against Mason's feet and legs for some Mason love. 

Now his favorite spot on Summer's stool in the kitchen is lonely and empty.  We miss our welcome home greeting.  I'd say we even miss the messes he'd make that we'd have to tend to....water overflow at his water bowl, little paw prints throughout the kitchen and laundry room.  Although gone from this earth, never gone from our hearts.  XOXO to you Ceaser!

Our New 4th of July Tradition

The Big Girls....

Although John had to work, he was a trouper, took a lovely nap in the lovely, cozy, beds with their soft, fluffly comforter and pillows....heavenly!  Actually, those cozy beds I'm recalling were at Ventana Resort last weekend, oh they are wonderful! 

Wyatt was so cute, he had no problem holding his own.  Everytime we turned around he was gone.  Completely independant, what a swimmer he has become.

The beginning of Independance Day Weekend!

Thanks to Linda she found us a Bil Deal for 4th this year.  We headed to Sheraton's Wildhorse Resort and Spa for the weekend.  The Cooks joined us on the second day, the best part of the experience is I think we've found ourselves a great new tradition.  So many fun things to do...boat ride, Rawhide, pool, water slide, kid activites, fireworks and live music.   

Silly Dads as we are headed to dinner....Linda's dish was delicious!  My mouth waters when I think of it.

We are waiting for the boat to take us to Rawhide, a fun western place like Trail Dust Town.

On the boat.  It was a fun ride, especially if you were lucky enough to get the entertaining boat driver.  The cool guy had all of these great song, he'd jam out getting the boat rocking and everyone singing.  While he did music trivia, our old Dads did pretty well.

You can only imagine how excited Mason was to get his hands those guns!
